Travel maps
Every stop of the trip, in order.
Search for each place you went and add it to the list. A line joins them: solid for the road, bowed and dashed for a flight, a course through the water for a cruise. Then write the dates on it and have it printed.

Road trip
A solid line from stop to stop, corner to corner, the way a route is marked on an atlas rather than turn by turn.
Flights
Each leg is drawn as a great circle, bowed and dashed the way an airline map draws it. A year of flying on one sheet.
Cruise
A course found through the water from port to port, round the coast and between the islands.
Where you actually went.
If a watch or a phone recorded the trip, upload the GPX and the exact track is drawn instead. Zoom the map to the whole country or to one valley; the size of the print and the size of the words are set separately, so a wide trip still reads at A4.
On the wall, or on the fridge.
Paper, framed paper, canvas, aluminium dibond or acrylic for the wall. In the UK, a magnet or a coaster of the same map makes a small gift for everyone who was on the trip.
Questions
- Can I show more than one trip?
- One journey per map, with as many stops as you like. For several trips, make several maps; a shared link keeps each design so you can come back to it.
- Does the line follow the roads?
- Yes, if you ask it to: press Draw a route and click along the way, or add the stops and press Follow the roads. Left alone, stops are joined straight, which reads clearly at print size. For where you actually went, upload the GPX from the drive.
- How big can it go?
- Up to 61 × 91 cm on paper or canvas, 60 × 90 cm on dibond, 61 × 91 cm on acrylic. Every size is priced on the card as you design.
